Bonfire Weekend Went With A Bang!

Writer: Larry DayLarry Day

Our latest gig was at The Riverside Bar and Kitchen, Ely. A fun gig for many reasons. Firstly both Karl and I had our daughters come to watch the band, mine (Holly) had travelled down from York with her boyfriend Adam, for it, so I was pretty chuffed. In addition, I had some of my old Tae Kwon Do pals came over to check us out (a quick call out to Geoff and Jack, also Holly as she was part of the TKD family as well ), the downside is that as we are playing all night we don't get much chance to chat.

I like to say a big thank you to the people who send in the video clips, some came by an unusual journey. One guy who had come in for a drink stayed the night and then forwarded his clips to his friend saying what a great night he had had, her response was....isn't that Larry? The guy had no idea who I was, but it turned out that he had sent it to my Italian teacher of some 6 or 7 years, I guess it really is a small world (un piccolo mondo).

And... What Should We Do Next?!

So I have put together a taster video from some of the songs, quality isn't great but gives a good impression of what we deliver, sadly Paul the drummer isn't in much of the video as, as with most small venues, its hard to set up in a way that everyone can be seen, but on the other hand he played such a cracking show that the music spoke for him! As usual Ray gave a belt out performance and as the rest of us we gave it our all.

The night certainly went with a bang....that is until Ray tried to get home and got stuck in the floods and had to spend the night in his van! Its a Rock n Roll life for sure.

So our first time in Ely went great, nice people once again at The Riverside Bar and Kitchen, if you are in Ely check them out.

Larry
