So its been a bit of a while since our last blog, seems we have been too busy playing to have time to
write about it.
Our guitarist Callum had been struggling earlier this year with tendinitis so we had been taking it easy to
give him as much rest as possible but now after our summer holidays, we are going to be really busy during the next couple of months and indeed for the rest of the year.
Talking of the summer holidays, Callum and Karl played an open mic night as they missed playing while
the others were away, Ray was partying most weekends like it was 1999 (to be fair I dont think he ever stopped!) Pete has been gardening (drummers a strange bunch) and for me other than enjoying Italy have played a couple of gigs with my old band (while they are still alive), and all that passed in the blink of an eye.
So, putting health issue, sunning ourselves on golden beaches and partying aside, one of the biggest
gigs coming up is playing at this years Bury St Edmunds 34th Beer Festival, you can catch us on the Main
Stage Saturday 29th August from 2pm. We are really hyped for this one. But with gigs at Ely, Islham,
Long Melford, Norwich, The Wicked Wheels Annual Bike Show, and not forgetting returning to
The Limeburners to play at their Summer Hog Roast we are going to be pretty busy for the rest of summer.
For those that haven't seen us live yet, we play a range of music from the 50s to the 2010s with songs
from the likes of The Stereophonics, The Cranberries, Tom Petty, Oasis, The Jam and The Beatles we
aim to get those toes tapping and your voices singing along.
With all our dates now booked for 2026 we are starting the whole process again of filling the diary for
2027. If you know a venue that may be interested you can contact us through our Facebook page
www.facebook.com/tallfakers, email tallfakers@gmail.com or phone us on 07414623855.
Lets hope its a long hot summer ( but maybe not quite as hot as its been so far!)
Larry
