So we are just about getting over an exhausting but fun Christmas with the final days being NYE at The Limeburners, followed a few days later by our first gig in Newmarket at The Waggon and Horses both of which we are returning to this year. NYE was bonkers! So thanks to Helen and everyone at The Limeburner's (see below) The gigs for 2025 have been coming in thick and fast. What is really nice is the number of venues rebooking us (some even on the night like The Waggon and Horses). Others rebooking us in addition to The Limeburners include The White Hart in Kings Lynn, The Henry VI in Fakenham, TollyFest at the British Sugar Beet Social Club, The London Tavern in Attleborough, and The Cock Inn Hadleigh (twice this year). New venues include The Blue Boar in Walsham le Willow, The Marlborough Arms in Norwich and 2 very close to home for me, Feltwell Social Club and Fendicks Fishery in Whittington. In fact our next two gigs are new venue as well, starting 1st February at The Queens Head in Burgh Castle ( probably a bit early to take a detour to Yarmouth for a dip in the sea) and The Rising Sun in Isleham the following weekend. This time of year is the time we spend looking at new songs to add to our setlist, ideally ones that people can either sing along or dance to, we are always open to suggestions so if you have any ideas just ping us a message on Facebook!

Being in the Tall Fakers is really fun if sometimes a bit bonkers, for example Ray our singer seems to have got it in his head we are all characters from Shrek! Those being Shrek himself, Fiona, Donkey, Lord Farquaad, and Pinocchio, Now it goes without saying he is definitely Shrek (if you've have met him you'll know why!) but can you guess who the rest of us are? I'll let you know next time. Maybe next Christmas we might add some dressing up to our act!
In the meanwhile it time to get back to rehearsals and doing all the appropriate workout classes to get us fit enough to carry all the gear in and out of venues, when they say you are never too old to Rock n Roll they might be wrong! Till the next time.
