There was no "rush in" The Comrades Club

Writer: Larry DayLarry Day

Not entirely inaccurate as I will explain later. So the first gig of 2024 kicked off at The Comrades Club in Soham, and what a great bunch they all were.

Everyone seemed to have a lot of energy across the entire age range - young and some less so young (Paul and I included) alike. As a band the best response we can get is when everyone is singing and dancing along, and there was a lot of that going on.

We didn't seem to be allowed to finish as everyone was having such a good time - even the club got into the act by offering us a bit extra to keep playing! To quote an old Tae Kwon Do buddy of mine, James Hall who popped in that night to have a chat "You guys was smashing it Larry! After 41 more song requests we decided to head home as I'd be out all night" They were certainly not in a rush to see us go. After packing up the gear and the driving back, I think I got home about 1:30 a.m. ish

I have compiled a small video of extracts of some of the songs from the night (see below) - if you were there check out if you are in it, and how good your dancing was! Its our second time playing in Soham in the last five months and its a very welcoming place to come and play. We certainly hope to be back soon. If you want to check out any other videos from the night - check out our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/tallfakers, I have posted a couple by other band members having a go at singing, including myself doing Sit Down and the audience deciding halfway through to get up (and dance) can no one follow instructions! And a full version of Valery with Ray smashing it! Anyway likes and following us on Facebook would be nice if you had a good time.
